The Oshima Island is known for its live volcano. Hence many people who lived on it have abandoned the island. I heard stories of their prosperity and leaving the island because of constant earthquake. The island now has numerable abandoned houses, empty restaurants and lonely streets.
I created this work to portray the story of this island and called it Maya-The illusion of life.
The Moth is used as a metaphor, that flies away leaving behind the dead Cocoon.
